Verizon forwarding, three codes.
On Verizon, dial *72 and a number to forward every call, *71 and a number to forward only the calls you miss or are busy for, and *73 to turn it off.
*72 512 555 0190
Every call goes to Jake. Your phone doesn't ring.
512-555-0190 stands in for your Jake number.
Worth knowing.
- The confirmation can sound like a busy signal. That's normal; hang up after it.
- If callers get a busy tone, the code was dialed with an extra digit. Dial *73, then the code again.
- You can't set forwarding while roaming or outside Verizon's coverage.
| Rings before Jake answers | About three to six rings on *71. Verizon doesn't let you change it. |
|---|---|
| Busy and no answer | One code, *71, covers both. There are no separate codes. |
| Cost | No monthly fee on current plans. Forwarded calls count as minutes used on your plan. |
| Check it's on | In My Verizon, or call Verizon on 800-922-0204. |
